The Development of Operational Guideline for Enhancing Early Childhood Well Being at the Child Development Center, Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi

This participatory action research aimed to develop operational guideline for enhancing early childhood well being at the child development center, Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi. 107 participants consisted of personnel working for child development center, parents, and nursing students. The research instruments were composed of a focus group interview guide, a questionnaire of satisfaction with the reliability of .90, a test of health care for childhood with the reliability of .68, and a form of capability reflection. The implementation and data collection were conducted through 5 steps:- plan, do, check, act, and integrated from January to July, 2018. Content analysis, mean, and standard deviation were used for data analysis.
The research results revealed that the operational guideline for enhancing early childhood well being was promoting quality of personnel and management. Site visit, knowledge sharing, and operational training were held in order to raise competencies of teachers and babysitters. It was found that both teachers and babysitters had higher knowledge, capabilities, and applications.
This research suggests that other child development centers should apply this operational guideline for enhancing early childhood well being as well as hold site visit, knowledge sharing, and operational training in order to raise competencies of teachers and babysitters.
