Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims to compare the effects of the CNPG method in preventing postpartum hemorrhage within 24 hours after childbirth. The study involved a sample group of mothers who delivered between August and November 2023, consisting of 92 participants selected using purposive sampling. The sample was divided into a control group and an experimental group, each with 46 participants. The control group received standard nursing care, while the experimental group received standard care in conjunction with the CNPG method. The tools used in this study included:  1. A general information recording form 2. An outcome recording form before and after the implementation of the CNPG method The CNPG tools were designed to assess the risk of postpartum hemorrhage, capture signs preceding hemorrhage, and prevent postpartum hemorrhage. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and hypothesis testing was conducted using t-tests. The results indicated that the experimental group detected signs preceding hemorrhage significantly more than the control group at a p-value of 0.001. Additionally, the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in the experimental group was significantly lower than in the control group at the same significance level of 0.001. The time taken to detect signs preceding hemorrhage was also significantly shorter in the experimental group compared to the control group at a p-value of 0.001. In conclusion, the use of the CNPG method effectively reduces the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. It is recommended that the CNPG method be implemented for the care of all postpartum mothers and that it be regularly reviewed and updated.
