การพัฒนารูปแบบการส่งเสริมการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ในสตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่ทำงานในสถานประกอบการ
Abstract
The main objectives of this research and development is to develop a model for promoting breastfeeding among working pregnant women in large workplaces. The research was conducted in six large workplaces from October 2021 to March 2023. The target sample consisted of 36 working pregnant women, selected through purposive sampling. The study was divided into three phases: Phase 1:This phase involved assessing the current situation and identifying challenges through focus group discussions. Key issues identified included difficulties in expressing breast milk, lack of supportive policies for breastfeeding, absence of designated areas for expressing milk, insufficient time for milk expression, and concerns about disturbing coworkers. Phase 2:This phase focused on developing a breastfeeding support model for working pregnant women, which included the following components: 1) Establishing designated breastfeeding corners. 2) Providing a single educational session on breastfeeding for pregnant women. 3) Setting up a hotline or communication channel for support. Phase 3:The final phase evaluated the outcomes of the breastfeeding support model. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis and quantitative descriptive statistics, including pair t-tests. Findings indicated that the participants' average knowledge scores regarding breastfeeding significantly increased post-intervention, with a statistical significance level of 0.001. Additionally, it was found that 63.89% of women exclusively breastfed for six months after delivery. In conclusion, this model should be implemented in all workplaces, taking into account the specific contexts of each organization. Furthermore, long-term follow-up studies on the outcomes should be conducted.
