Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Cerebral aneurysm is a complex and severe critical condition. When a cerebral aneurysm ruptures, it affects the brain, causing disability or even death. Providing nursing care using the correct nursing process in every step will make patients safe from complications or less affected by complications, allowing them to recover and return home with a good quality of life.

Objective: To study general information, nursing diagnoses, nursing care, and nursing outcomes of cerebral aneurysm patients.

Method: The study included 2 cerebral aneurysm patients by collecting data from medical records, taking medical history, physical examination, laboratory test results, and special tests. Data were analyzed to compare nursing diagnoses and the use of nursing processes.

Results: It was found that the 2 patients had differences in general information, risk factors affecting illness, severity of complications after receiving nursing care using the nursing process, and nursing care in each stage. Surveillance of risk factors affecting the severity of the disease resulted in patients being safe and able to return home to continue rehabilitation at home.

Recommendations: Comprehensive surveillance and risk assessment in cerebral aneurysm patients are very important. The care guidelines in each stage of the disease should be adjusted to increase patient safety. and promote more effective rehabilitation. In addition, further studies should be conducted to develop specific and up-to-date nursing guidelines to reduce possible complications.
