ปัญหาสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดแดงเอออร์ต้าส่วนท้องโป่งพอง Health problems of abdominal aortic aneurysm patients

บทคัดย่อ

A descriptive research using a qualitative technique aimed to understand health problems of abdominal aortic aneurysm patients before and after surgery. In-depth interview was conducted away with 5 patients, admitted in the Surgical and Emergency Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular - Thoracic Intensive Care Unit and general wards, the doctor and the nurse, a tertiary care center in northeastern Thailand. Observation, interview, tape recordings and medical records were used for collection data. The researcher collected data during August - December 2014. Content analysis was used for data analysis. The finding showed that health problem of patients before and after surgery included 1) physical symptoms including pain, complications, nutritional deficiencies, the practice routine, 2) the mind include fear, anxiety, stress in rupturing of the aneurysm, and the understanding disease/treatment/activity after the operation uncertainty and reliance in their lives
