This  study  is  a  quasi - experimental  researchwhich two groups pre - post test design.  The  purposeof  the  study  was  to  determine  the  effect  oflearning   program  through  a  group  process  andCartoon  Storybook  on  self  care  behavior in  schoolage  children  with  thalassemia.  The  sample  werethe  school  age  children  with  thalassemia soughtmedical  services  at  thalassemia  clinic  of  PhontongPrimary care  unit, Tombon  Phontong,  AmpherBanphaeng,  Nakornphanom  Province.  The  30samples,  purposive   random  sampling  techniquewas  applied  by  drawing  lots.  The  first  15  subjectswere  assigned  to  be  experimental  group,  the  next15  subjects  were  assigned  to  be  a  control  group. The  experimental  group  was  applied  for  learningprogram  through  a  group  process  and  CartoonStorybook  with  using  group  process.  The  qualityof  the  questionnaires  were  determined  by  cronbachûsalpha  coefficiency.  The  content  validity  wasexamined  by  5  experts.  The  reliabilities  of  selfcare behavior  showed  0.898.  The  data  wereanalyzed  by  using  frequency,  percentage,  arismaticmean,  standard  deviation,  paired  t-test  andindependent  t-test.The  results  of  this  study  were  as  follows:After  the  experiment,  the  mean  score  of  selfcare  behavior  of  the  experimental  group  wassignificantly  higher  than  the  control  group(P < 0 .01).  The  mean  score  of  self  care  behaviorof  the  experimental  group  after  the experimentwas  significantly  higher  than  the  mean  score  ofself  care  behavior  of  the  experimental  groupbefore  they  entered  the  learning   program  througha  group  process  and  Cartoon  Storybook  withusing  group  process.  (P  < 0 .01).
