The purpose of this Independent study was to examine the effect of promoting nutrition for families with underweight children (2-5 years old) Nong Saeng Primary Care Center, Amphoe Nong Wua So, UdonThani Province. The data were collected through interviews with 15 families. The instruments consisted: 1) The data collection instruments were behavioral interviews in food preparation to prevent and correct malnutrition for the family of children aged 2-5 years with the reliability of 0.78, and a nutritional assessment for children aged 2-5 years, 2) The instruments used in study on nutrition promotion for the family, the instruments consisted of the individual prototype, nutrition flag for early childhood, video, demonstration model for five major food groups, and the amount of food that the child should be given in one day, and nutrition guide for the family of preschool children by applying the conceptual framework of Becker's Health Belief Model (1974) in holding activities includes: 1) The activity in telling the stories to little children, and 2) Collect the power to prevent malnutrition in children aged 2-5 years. The study results indicated that the overall behavior of families on nutrition promotion for children aged 2-5 years old was better. The total average scores before and after participating in the Project were 74.73 (SD = 8.95) and 92.26 (SD = 5.90), respectively. The nutritional assessment results on weighting according to the age criteria, and the comparison with the graph showed the interpretation results of nutrition for children aged 2–7 years old (Female and male) in 2014. It was found that nutritional conditions of all children was better than before participating in the project.
