Using a student study guide as a tool to promote self-directed learning skills and self-responsibility among 4th year nursing students at Khon Kaen University

การวิจัยชั้นเรียนนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้คู่มือนักศึกษาวิชาปฏิบัติการผดุงครรภ์ เป็นสื่อในการส่งเสริมทักษะการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง และความรับผิดชอบของนักศึกษาพยาบาล ชั้นปีที่ 4 จำนวน 146 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่านักศึกษาร้อยละ 91.8 – 93.8 เห็นว่าคู่มือสามารถส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเองได้ในระดับเห็นด้วยถึงเห็นด้วยอย่างยิ่ง ทั้ง 5 ด้านคือ การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการของตนเอง การกำหนดเป้าหมายการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง  การค้นหาและจำแนกแหล่งสนับสนุน การนำความรู้ที่ได้มาตอบปัญหาในสถานการณ์ที่หลากหลาย และการประเมินผลการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง นอกจากนี้ ร้อยละ 82.2 – 90.4 ที่เห็นด้วยหรือเห็นด้วยอย่างยิ่งว่า คู่มือทำให้เพิ่มความรับผิดชอบต่อการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง โดยเสนอแนะว่า ควรเพิ่มแบบฝึกหัดที่เป็นกรณีศึกษาและแจกแบบฝึกหัดให้นักศึกษา 1-2 สัปดาห์ก่อนขึ้นฝึกปฏิบัติงาน เพื่อให้นักศึกษาสามารถจัดสรรเวลาทำแบบฝึกหัดได้อย่างเต็มที่ และควรมีการจัดทำคู่มือเช่นนี้ในทุกสายการพยาบาล

Abstract

This classroom research aimed to assess the effectiveness of a student guide as a tool to promote self-directed learning skills (SDL) and learning responsibilities amid 146 nursing students. The results revealed that 91.8%-93.8% either agreed or strongly agreed that the study guide was able to help with 5 SDL dimensions: identifying learning needs, developing learning objectives, identifying appropriate resources, applying knowledge in new situation, and engaging in self-evaluation. Additionally, 82.2%-90.4% either agreed or strongly agreed that the guide helped to improve self-responsibility and suggested that the guide should be distributed to the students 1-2 weeks before the semester began so they could have more time studying. The students also suggested that the study guide should be developed for all practical courses.
