Abstract

Health Promotion for prisoner is complicated  and difference from the normal system  because of  in-adequate health  manpower as well as  the health care system To enhancing health promoting behaviors among prisoners  need to use the process of peer leader’s capacity building.  The process started from situation analysis, meeting with the stake holders including problems and needs assessment of the target group. These activities using participatory process and knowledge exchange. To developing ability among peer leaders using knowledge training and  supported  them to arrange  the activities for enhancing health promoting behaviors of the targets group.  The peer leader’s capacity building is the process that can be increasing self value and  potential  to  enhancing healthy behaviors among their friends. When they return back to society, they will be the health leader in their families.  Prison is not a barrier for healthy practice behaviors.
