Effect of Story Telling with Parent Participation Program on Fear Among Preschoolers Receiving Immunization

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to study the effects of story telling with parent participation program on fear among preschoolers receiving immunization. The sample were 60 preschoolers age from 3 to 6 years old, divided  into experimental and control groups with 30 children in each group. The experimental group received the story telling with parent participation program whereas the control group received routine nursing care. The data were analyzed by using Independent-Sample T Test. The results of this study showed the experimental group reported signifi cantly less fear face scores and fear behavior scores than the control group (p < 0.01).
