บทคัดย่อ

The aim of this descriptive research is to study the quality level of work life and to study the relationships between personal factors of income, status and department location with the quality of work life among nurses working in the Nursing division, Srinagarind Hospital among 1-5 years time on the job (started to work 1st April 2552 to 30t March 2556). The study sample is a group of 198 nurses. The research included three parts  1) demographic data 2) the quality of work life questionnaires and 3) open ended questions. The reliability coefficients of the questionnaires were 0.95. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were provided. The research conducted also included Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Eta, the open ended questions were analyzed qualitatively by discovering common themes in the data.

The results of this study  were the overall mean score of the quality of work life among nurses working in Srinagarind Hospital among 1-5 years time on the job was at the medium level (3.34 + 0.46). But adequate and fair compensation was at the low level (2.48 + 0.69), the immediate opportunity to use and develop human capacities was at the high level (2.48 + 0.69). There was a positive relationship between income and quality of work life among nurses working in Srinagarind Hospital among 1-5 years time on the job (r =0.149,p=0.043) but there were no relationships between status and department location.

The result of study could be utilized as baseline data for promoting the quality of work life of nurses working in Srinagarind Hospital among 1-5 years time on the job more effectively and providing adequate and fair compensation and welfare including dormitories, reserved car and Motorbike Park and environmental facilities.
