Abstract

A Randomized Controlled Trails. The purpose was to investigate the effects of electric heating bag compression on the intensity of low back pain and disability in pregnant women with low back pain. The experimental group (n=17) received electric heating bag compression with routine nursing care whereas those in the control group (n=17) received only routine nursing care. The results were as follows. the pregnant women in the experimental group had significantly decreased the mean score of low back pain at immediately after the experimental and from the second to the fourth day of treatment (p<0.001and p<0.01 respectively) and had lower mean score of low back pain then the control group (p<0.001). Moreover, The pregnant women in the experimental group decreased the mean score of disability and had lower mean score of disability then the control group and (p<0.05 and p<0.001 respectively).
