Abstract

The grief in adolescent with cancer is adaptation process to loss from illness with cancer that the serious
illness leading to human holistic impacts in four sides namely physical impacts, mental impacts, social impacts and
spiritual impacts. It is necessary that the nurse must help them by use the holistic nursing care that congruent with
perspective of patient and phases of grief process including holistic nursing care in denial period, anger, bargaining,
grief, and acceptance period. To help the grief adolescent with cancer congruent with problem and needs of patient
that resulted in the patient can to force empowerment in confrontation through the grief process. Finally patient
adapts to accept the loss and grief and not occur pathologic grief.
