Abstract

 This two group of quasi-experimental research was studied the effect of Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline (CNPG) for preterm skin care in neonatal intensive care unit. The CNPG for preterm skin care was developed by the research using 7 steps of National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Data was analyzed by using percentage, frequency, means, Chi-square and Paired t-test. The result of this study revealed that 1)The CNPGs for preterm skin care in NICU consisted 4 topic of 8 activities 2) The observation of nurses ’s practice scores before and after followed by CNPGs were 28.73 to 55.55 (t=-32.40, p<0.001) 3) Nursing’s opinions for using the CNPGs, were feasible and useful in high-level mean scores at 3.8 of 5 scores 4) The proportion of skin breakdown was decreased after used CNPGs at 51.34% to 19.42% (2 =90.12, p<0.001))
