EFFECTS OF SELF - EFFICACY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON SELF - EFFICACY AND SELF-CARE BEHAVIOR IN SCHOOL-AGED NEPHROTIC SYNDROME PATIENTS

This quasi – experimental research aimed to study the Effects of Self – Efficacy Development Program on Self – Efficacy and Self-Care Behavior in School – age Nephrotic Syndrome Patients. The sample was 40 School-age Patients with Nephrotic Syndrome at outpatient pediatric services, Khon Kaen Hospital. They were divided into 2 groups: 20 of the control group received conventional nursing care, and 20 of the experimental group received health education Self – Efficacy Development Program data were analyzed using the percentage, mean score, standard deviation score, and t-test. The results were as follow:1) Experimental group’s of Self – Efficacy Belief after intervention and mean score of Self-Care Behavior after intervention was significantly higher than before intervention 2.The experimental group’s mean score of Self – Efficacy and Self-Care Behavior in School-age patients, the caring behaviors was significantly higher than those in the control group.
