Keywords:
quality nursing services, nurse administrators, university hospitalsAbstract
This predictive research aims to study the factors that influence the quality nursing services of nurse administrators at university hospitals in the northeastern region of Thailand. Data were collected from 118 samples. The instruments used in the research were a questionnaire on environmental factors at work and a questionnaire on quality nursing services. The questionnaires were a 5- point rating scale. The validity and the reliability were checked and the values of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient were 0.93 and 0.94, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and standard multiple regression analysis.
The results of the research showed that environmental factors at work, including perceived roles of nursing administrators, service support system and organizational policy can predict quality service of nurse administrators with statistical significance at 82.7% (R2 = .827 F = 181.247, p <.05). Therefore, nurse administrators and hospital administrators should set policies and find strategies to support environmental factors at work to encourage nursing administrators to provide quality nursing services.
