This study reports the applicability of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in reducing suicidal risk in a Schizophrenic patient afflicted with auditory hallucination. The reported case study was a Schizophrenic patient admitted for inpatients care at Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospitals. The participant received four individual psychotherapy sessions in which each session takes 45-60 minutes. Three instruments, The Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS), the Belief About Voices Questionnaire (BAVQ), and Characteristics and Severity of Auditory Hallucination Scale (CSAH) were used for baseline assessment as well as for outcome evaluation at immediately after the program. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and treatment progress analysis. The results showed that participants had less psychotic symptoms, had a decreased believability of his hallucination and felt less distressed from their auditory hallucination. Also, the participant denied having suicidal ideas or plans at the end of the treatment.
