แนวทางการสรางภูมิคุมกันทางสังคมในการดูแลเด็กและเยาวชนเพื่อปองกันปญหาการดื่มสุรา Creating guideline of Social immune to care children and youth for prevent alcohol drinking problem

Abstract

This community based research (CBR) with mixed method aimed to create the social immune guidelines in order to prevent alcohol drinking problem in children and youth. The results showed that children and youth were usually neglected by their parents to live in community under responsibility of their grandparents. Their average of the Life’s Assetswas found in moderate level (64.92%), reflecting the vulnerability of this population. Alcohol drinking problem was identified as one of the major problems which influence their educational performance. The students who could not complete their educational program were named by people in community as the “White Shirt Bandits”. In addition, teenage pregnancy was seen as a sensitive issue for the parents. Due to the lack of skill in taking care of baby of the teen mothers, their parents had to be responsible for nurturing the grand children as their own child. As a result, they were parodied that they “incorrectly took an oral contraceptive”.The appropriate guideline to promote the social immune for children and youth in preventing alcohol drinking problem is the development of local wisdom knowledge. The guideline should be incorporated with the activities as followings: talking and teaching the children during family meal time, initiating the community rules to protest selling alcohols and cigarette for children and youth, and prohibiting alcohol drinking of people in school and temple. Moreover, the leader and members of community must dedicate themselves to stop drinking as role model for children and youth.
