Abstract

The grief assessment in adolescent with cancer is the important nursing process that leading to the effective nursing diagnosis and nursing intervention that help effective and appropriate with problem and really need of adolescent with cancer who have the grief. The grief assessment in adolescent with cancer has three dimensions. For the first is the assessment about database of adolescent with cancer, the second is the grief process assessment, and the last is the assessment influencing factors to the grief. Therefore, the grief assessment in adolescent with cancer to be like a magnetic compass that suggest the thinking of nurses has sensitivity in the grief assessment correct, complete, congruent with perspective and experience of adolescent with cancer that leading to develop quality of care that to force empowerment the adolescent with cancer in confrontation through the grief process and not occur pathologic grief.
