ผลการสอนเพศศึกษาที่เน้นมิติจิตวิญญาณต่อความรู้และเจตคติเรื่องการป้องกันการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ในวัยรุ่นSpiritually Based Sex Education and its Effects on Adolescents Knowledge and Attitude

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare the knowledge and attitude toward sexual intercourse prevention in adolescence between before and after received sex education focus in spiritual dimension teaching. Sampling group were 60 students from a lower-secondary school in Si Songkhram district, Nakhonpanom province by purposive sampling technique. The Sex education focus in spiritual dimension teaching base on spiritual need concept of Highfield (1992) was used in the sampling group and then there were follow- ups after the experiment . Data were collected using demographic data questionnaire and tests of knowledge and attitude toward sexual intercourse prevention in adolescence. The reliability by Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of the knowledge and attitude tests were 0.80 and 0.75. The descriptive data were analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The mean difference of the critical thinking ability score was analyzed by t-test. The results howed that 1) The mean knowledge score regarding sexual intercourse prevention in adolescence of sampling group between before and after the experiment were statistical significantly difference at the 0.05 level . 2) The mean attitude score regarding sexual intercourse prevention in adolescence of sampling group between before and after the experiment were statistical significantly difference at the 0.05 level.
