The study aimed to examine the effects of the individual psychotherapy program, based on Satir’s model for type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with depressive patients. The target study were, selected based on inclusion criteria composed of 9 patients; 3 male and 6 female. The program consisted of 4 weekly sessions, each session 40 – 90 minutes. After finished session 2, there were 2 patients dropped out. The study results were evaluated by using 1) Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) score between 21 – 30. 2) Blood glucose level, HbA1C level. and 3) Clini-cal medication record. Data was collected at before intervention, after intervention, and follow-up 1 month after intervention.The study found that all participants had decreased scores of depression. However, depression scores were increased to mild level at 1-month follow-up for 1 patient. The study was also found that all patients decreased in Blood sugar (FBS), but there were two patients still remained of hemoglobinA1C. Clinical medication records shown the reduction of insulin dose in two patients and Antidepressant was prescript by the physician for 1 patient.Downloads
