The aim of this research was to examine the effect of the self-directed learning (SDL) program on the self-efficacy in the ethics and law in nursing profession examination. The quasi-experimental research, the one group pretest-posttest, was conducted. The total subjects were 51 of the 4 th years nursing students. The instrument was the Self-directed learning program that developing based on Knowles’ theory of Self-directed learning (Knowles, 1975). Data collection included the self-efficacy in test blue print ethics and law questionnaire. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and pair t-test. The results of this study revealed that mean scores of the self–efficacy before the SDL program was at the moderate level(x=2.59, SD =0.47), and high level after the SDL program (x=3.77, SD =0.45). There was statistically significant increasing means score of self–efficacy after the SDL program (p < .01).How to Cite
