บทคัดย่อ

This descriptive study aimed to investigate foot care behaviors and relationships between foot care behaviors and experiences of diabetic ulcer in persons with type 2 diabetes. A purposive sample of 1,291 persons with diabetes who regularly attended at the OPD of 4 hospitals in Bangkok and surroundings was recruited for this study. The findings showed that, on a whole, 67.93% had very low foot care behaviors scores. Only 1.08% had foot care behaviors scores at a good level. Around 73% of the case group and 65% of the control group had poor foot care behaviors. The relationships between foot care behaviors and diabetic foot ulcer were tested by using Chi-Square and found significant p= .010.
