ประสบการณ์ของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคมะเร็งที่ได้รับยาเคมีบำบัด Experiences of school-age children with cancer receiving chemotherapy

Abstract

       การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพนี้มีวัตถุประสงคเพื่อศึกษาประสบการณของเด็กวัยเรียนโรคมะเร็งที่ไดรับยาเคมี บําบัด ผูใหขอมูลเปนเด็กวัยเรียนโรคมะเร็ง อายุ 6-12 ป ที่ไดรับยาเคมีบําบัด จํานวน 15 คน และมารดาหรือ ผูดูแลหลัก จํานวน 15 คน เก็บรวบรวมขอมูลดวยการสัมภาษณเจาะลึกในหองที่เปนสัดสวน ณ หอผูปวยเด็ก วิเคราะหขอมูลดวยการวิเคราะหเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัย พบวา เด็กวัยเรียนโรคมะเร็งเขาใจวายาเคมีบําบัดทําใหหาย ปวย ไมสุขสบายจากการไดรับยาเคมีบําบัด จัดการอาการขางเคียงดวยการนอน ทํากิจกรรมที่ชอบ และปฏิบัติตัว ตามแผนการรักษา มารดาเปนที่พึ่งและทําใหเขมแข็ง ความหวังคือหายจากปวย หยุดเรียนและไมมีเพื่อนขณะปวย เหงาและเบื่อเมื่ออยูโรงพยาบาล ผลการวิจัยที่ไดทําใหเขาใจประสบการณของเด็กวัยเรียนที่ปวยเปนโรคมะเร็ง สามารถใชเปนแนวทาง พัฒนาปฏิบัติการพยาบาลเด็กที่ตอบสนองความตองการของเด็ก และเปนแนวทางในการออกแบบรูปแบบการ พยาบาลเพื่อการวิจัยตอไป คําสําคัญ: ประสบการณ เด็กที่ปวยเปนมะเร็ง ยาเคมีบําบัด
       This qualitative research aimed to study the experiences of school-age children with cancer receiving chemotherapy. The research participants comprised 15 school-age children with cancer receiving chemotherapy and their 15 mothers or primary caregivers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews in a closed meeting room and analyzed using the content analysis method. The major findings were as follows: the experiences of school-age children with cancer receiving chemotherapy included understanding that illness through chemotherapy helped lead to cure, discomfort from receiving chemotherapy, manage symptoms by instilling preferred activities and following regimen, the mother making them feel dependency and stronger, the hope of cure from illness, stopping of study and having no friends, and being bored during hospitalization. This finding could be applied to develop nursing care based on the experiences of the children, and contribute to a model of care for further research.
