Insomnia experience, symptom management strategies and quality of sleep in end stage renal disease patients undergoing continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis

การวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย เพื่อศึกษาประสบการณอาการนอนไมหลับ วิธีการจัดการอาการ และคุณภาพการ นอนหลับ รวมทั้งศึกษาความสัมพันธระหวางประสบการณอาการนอนไมหลับและคุณภาพการนอนหลับในผูปวย โรคไตเรื้อรังระยะสุดทายที่ไดรับการลางไตทางชองทองแบบตอเนื่อง กลุมตัวอยางจํานวน 100 ราย โดยการเลือก แบบเฉพาะเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใชในการ เก็บรวบรวมขอมูลเปนแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะหขอมูลดวยสถิติบรรยาย และคาสัมประสิทธิ์ สหสัมพันธ ผลการศึกษาพบวา กลุมตัวอยางมีอาการนอนไมหลับโดยรวมอยูในระดับปานกลาง (M = 20.04, SD = 4.01) วิธีการจัดการอาการที่กลุมตัวอยางปฏิบัติมากที่สุด คือ การนอนเมื่องวงนอนเทานั้น (100%) รองลงมาคือ การตื่นนอนและเขานอนเปนเวลา (96%) กลุมตัวอยางมีคุณภาพการนอนหลับโดยรวมไม ดี (M = 14.51, SD = 3.36) และพบวาประสบการณอาการนอนไมหลับมีความสัมพันธกับคุณภาพการนอนหลับ อยางมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (r = 0.64, p < 0.01)

Abstract The purpose of the study was to examine insomnia experiences, symptom management strategies and quality of sleep in ESRD patients undergoing CAPD. The study also examined the relationship between insomnia experiences and quality of sleep. Purposive sampling was used to recruit 100 participants. The instrument was questionnaire. Data analyzed were descriptive statistics and correlational coefficients. The results revealed that the level of insomnia experience of the sample was moderate severity (M = 20.04, SD = 4.01). The most commonly used management strategies were sleep when sleepy 100%, and get up and go to bed at the same time every day 96%. One hundred participants had poor sleep quality (M = 14.51, SD = 3.36). In addition, the results of the correlation showed that there was a significantly correlation between insomnia experience and sleep quality (r = 0.64, p < 0.01).
