The relationship between adjustments to maternal role, sleep disturbance, social support, postpartum fatigue and stress in advanced maternal age

Abstract

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้มีวัตถุประสงคเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธระหวาง การปรับตัวตอบทบาทมารดา การรบกวนการนอนหลับ การสนับสนุนทางสังคมและความเหนื่อยลากับความเครียด และปจจัยทํานายความเครียด ของมารดาหลังคลอดอายุ 35 ปขึ้นไป ในระยะ 24-48 ชั่วโมง ณ ตึกสูติกรรม 1 และ 2 โรงพยาบาลขอนแกน จํานวน 127 คน เก็บขอมูลโดยใชแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะหขอมูลดวยสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธแบบเพียรสัน และการ วิเคราะหถดถอยพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน ผลการวิจัยพบวา การปรับตัวตอบทบาทมารดาและการสนับสนุนทางสังคม มีความสัมพันธทางลบกับความเครียด (r= -0.72 และ -0.67, p< 0.001) การรบกวนการนอนหลับและความ เหนื่อยลามีความสัมพันธทางบวกกับความเครียด (r= 0.52 และ 0.68, p< 0.001) และปจจัยที่สามารถรวมทํานาย ความเครียด ไดแก การปรับตัวตอบทบาทมารดา ความเหนื่อยลา และการสนับสนุนทางสังคม

ABSTRACT The descriptive study aimed to examine the relationship between adjustments to maternal role, sleep disturbance, social support, postpartum fatigue and stress, and also to investigate predictors of stress in advanced maternal age. The samples composed of 127 postpartum mothers aged 35 years old and older during 24-48 hours after childbirth at postpartum wards 1 and 2 of Khon Kaen Hospital. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that adjustments to maternal role and social support was negative correlation with postpartum stress (r= -0.72 and -0.67, p< 0.001). Sleep disturbance and postpartum fatigue was positive correlation with postpartum stress (r= 0.52 and 0.68, p< 0.001). The predictors of postpartum stress were adjustments to maternal role, postpartum fatigue, and social support.
