การประเมินความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณของผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นระยะวิกฤต เป็นอีกหนึ่งขั้นตอนที่สำคัญยิ่งของกระบวนการพยาบาล ในการค้นหาข้อมูลสำคัญเพื่อนำไปสู่การวินิจฉัยและการวางแผนการพยาบาลที่ตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของผู้ป่วยได้อย่างแท้จริง ดังนั้น การทำความเข้าใจแนวคิดด้านจิตวิญญาณ ตลอดจนความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณตามทฤษฎีความผาสุกด้านจิตวิญญาณในขณะเกิดการการเจ็บป่วยของโอไบรอันในบทความนี้ จึงเปรียบเสมือนเข็มทิศที่จะช่วยชี้นำความคิดของพยาบาลให้เกิดความไวในการประเมินความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณได้อย่างถูกต้อง ครอบคลุม และสอดคล้องตามมุมมองของผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นระยะวิกฤตภายใต้บริบทของสังคมและวัฒนธรรมไทย อันจะนำไปสู่คุณภาพของการพยาบาลแบบองค์รวม ครบมิติพร้อมทั้งทางร่างกาย จิตใจ สังคม และจิตวิญญาณ

Abstract

          Assessing spiritual needs of critically ill adolescent is the important stage of nursing process for identifying spiritual needs data that leading to the effective nursing diagnosis and care plan to responsive for really spiritual needs of patients. Therefore, understanding the concept of spirituality and spiritual needs under the theory of spiritual well-being in illness by O’Brien (2014) in this article will be like a magnetic compass that leading the thinking of nurses to be sensitive for correct, complete, congruent spiritual needs assessment with perspective of critically ill adolescent under Thai society and culture leading to the most quality of holistic nursing care with physical, mental, social and spiritual.
