Personal Characteristics and Organizational Support Affecting the Prevention and Control of Covid 19 Performance of the Health Promoting Hospital Directors in Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

          This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study personal characteristics and organizational support affecting the prevention and control of COVID-19 performance of the health promoting hospital directors in Khon Kaen province, Thailand. The 117 samples were randomly selected by stratified random sampling from 248 health promoting hospital directors in Khon Kaen province. Data was collected using the questionnaire for quantitative data that were examined and verified by the three experts for content validity with items objective congruence (IOC), all items were more than 0.50, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was at 0.79. The in-depth interview guidelines were used among 12 key informants for qualitative data gathering.  Data were collected between 1^st  to 31^st January 2022. Data were performed for quantitative data by descriptive and inferential statistics. Qualitative data analysis performed by content analysis.As a significant level at 0.05. The results showed that the organizational support was at a high level with averages 4.07 (S.D.=0.61), and the prevention and control of COVID-19 performance was at the highest level with an average of 4.50 (S.D.=0.49). Overall organizational support had a high relationship with the prevention and control of COVID-19 performance of the health promoting hospital directors in Khon Kaen Province (r=0.740, p-value<0.001). The results found that two variables of organizational support; management and money supporting affecting and could jointly predict the prevention and control of COVID-19 performance of the health promoting hospital directors in Khon Kaen province at 70.5 percent (R²=0.705, p-value<0.001).
