Results of The Development of Geographic Mapping Program for The Surveillance of Mosquito Vector Species Health Region 8 in the year 2020 - 2022

Abstract

          This study was a research and development. The objectives are to (1) Develop a geographic mapping program for the surveillance of mosquito vector species in the area of ​​the 8^th Health Region (2) To try out the program (3) Evaluate performance and effectiveness of such program. Target population is the user who takes advantage of the system from The Center for Vector-Borne Disease Control in the study area and from The Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 8 Udon Thani, total 19 persons. Implemented between 2020 – 2022. Data collection tools include GIS programs, focus group issues, and the performance evaluation form effectiveness of innovation. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and qualitative statistics content analysis. Results: 1) Problems in the implementation of surveillance prevention and control of communicable by mosquitoes borne diseases. Mosquitoes vector entomological studies information systems. Leads to the design and development of risk assessments of mosquito vector species by geographical map (GIS) 2) An innovative model for the surveillance of mosquito vector species in the area of ​​the 8^th Health Region have 2 parts: data import form and dashboard display 3) The trend of increasing mosquito vector species in 2020 – 2022 is Anopheles species and 4) Overall satisfaction with the system at a high level ( = 3.17).

          The results of this development can quickly assess the risk of mosquito vectors used in the area, should continue to convey and prepare a manual for using the system.
