Abstract

This survey research was aimed to study motivation factors affecting the performance of village health volunteers in non-communicable disease control in Huai Thalaeng District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Systematic random sampling was utilized 190 Village health volunteers from the population. Data collection was carried out from 10 to March 28, 2013. The data was analyzed by Descriptive and Inferential Statistic including Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression. Results of the study the motivation to work was at high level mean 2.48, and the level of performance was also high level mean 2.56, accounting for 82.6 percent. The motivation was to the performance of village health volunteers with statistical significance      (p-value < 0.001). In addition, co-variables that potentially predict performance of the volunteers covered Job Security, Factors in personal life, Duration the operation, working Condition and Incom with statistic significance of 0.05 There factor could predict the performance of the in non-communicable disease control by 48.5 percent. The main problems and obstacles were found associated with equipment and inadequate fringe benefit. Summary of the results motivation and performance level overall level and the moderate level. Suggestion the results of the study promote the development of knowledge in non-communicable disease control. Regularly, assign appropriate knowledge. Ability effectively, following the performance, make recommendations and solutions, Should allocate materials and tools to be used in non-communicable disease control for adequate performance.
