Abstract

The development of people and local administrative organization’s roles emphasized the participation in health management and the learning participation may increase the district Health Management capacity. This research investigated the improvement processes of the district health management at KhonKaen district local administration Muang Roi-et. Thirty-three of target were purposive recruited into the research program. The program comprises the self-understanding process and then selected the unqualified criteria. The data of the unqualified criteria were collected and analyzed. Then the improvement plan had been synthesized using six steps of Cook’s benchmarking method which compare to the qualified health management district. The data was collected using the questionnaire and the activity recording book, then analyzed using descriptive statistic and paired t-test significance level at 0.05. The results shows that using benchmarking at the planning increased the development progression significantly (p < 0.001). The members of the health promotion fund increase their participation indistrict health managementand then passed the district health management evaluation with excellent level. In conclusion, using the benchmarking provide the well planning, management, follow up process and public relationship resulting the key success which is personnel and wisdom creating then create the healthy community.
