Effect of short movie for smoking prevention behavior among junior high school.

Abstract

This research is a Quasi experimental the objective was to study. the effect of short movie for smoking prevention behavior among junior high school. The samples of two students at the three schools. The sample was randomization by multi-stage method. Divided into an comparison and control group. The experimental group participated in a program to watch a short movie about a length of about 15 minutes once a week, four weeks. In short movie, the researchers created an entirely new. and collect data form questionnaires. The comparison group has been teaching as usual. and between groups of experimental and control group comparing  program results. The trial of the experimental groups and the comparison group. The data were analyzed paired sample t-test, and use descriptive statistics; percentage, mean and standard deviation. An inferential statistics, including independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test at significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the experimental group health belief score. and behavioral aspects of smoking score were baseline with statistically significant (p-value<0.05)compare of experimental group. The average score on the efficacy of self-defense score, were not significantly different. and the experimental groups with a total score of the health belief score, behavioral aspects of smoking score. were higher than the control group with statistically significant (p-value<0.05)And the difference between the total score the  efficacy of self-defense score of the two group were not significantly different.
