The Participation in The Zika Virus Disease Prevention and Control for Health Volunteers in Don Tum District, Nakhonpathom Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the factors affecting the participation and the level of participation in the zika virus disease  prevention and control for health   volunteers  in  DonTum  district, Nakhon Pathom province.

              The sample comprised of 240 the health  volunteers in DonTum district of Nakhon Pathom province. The instrument was a constructed questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing  the  collected data were percentage, arithmetic mean (), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test , F-test and LSD (Least  Significant Difference). 

              The results show that, the health volunteer, participation in  the zika virus disease were the high level. Additionally, the data analyses showed the priority of the health volunteer, participation as follows; the high level in 3 areas: the public relations the diseases surveillance the prevention and control ,  and, The data analyses on the personal factors that affected the  health volunteers, participation showed that  age, training had significant at high level p-value<.001, Whereas, their sex, education, occupation, status and information had no significant difference on their participation
