Abstract
This descriptive research aimed to study factors associated with the behavior of chronic kidney disease prevention among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, Noen-Makok Sub-district, Phayuha Khiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province. Population in this study consisted of 473 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients which registered in Noen-Makok Sub-district, Phayuha Khiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province. The sample size calculating used Daniel formula for 222 cases, and systematic random sampling was determined for collecting data. Data collected by questionnaires composed of 3 parts including, characteristics, social support, health literacy and behavior of chronic kidney disease prevention. In addition to check questionnaire standardization, validity was checked by 3 experts and try out testing reliability by Cronbach’s coefficient alpha about 0.75. Data analyzed using statistical as Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. The result showed that factors was associated with the behavior of chronic kidney disease prevention among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, with statistic significant including; social support (r=0.151, p-value=0.024) and health literacy (r=0.283, p-value=0.001), respectively.
