The readiness survey of the Public Health Personal on Rabies in the risk areas of Trang, Phatthalung, Songkhla, April 2018.

Abstract

                         Objective To study the readiness of the Public  Health personal In prevention and control of rabies  Method of study; To interview the nurse in imergency room and pharmacist the hospital in area which got 2 or more rabies infected samples in that period for 10 hospitals and 19 interviews.Result; 90% got training on medicine practice for action and conduct on contacting rabies patient.- 80% no leaflet or poster for rabies disease knowledge or recommendation after got dog bited.- 70% not taking information for analysis to reduce the number of rabies infected contacted patient.- 70% have sufficient vaccine or immunogoblulin. 77.92% has common practice that borrow from others hospital if vaccine or immunogoblulin not sufficient.Summary and comment; Campaign for getting anti rabies vaccination after contected rabies platient and whom got dog bited or scratched in time and correct doses can reduce mortality from rabies.  rabies out break may relate to the coverage of
anti rabies vaccination Therefor all pu lic health care office to be ready in man power,knowledge,drugs and madical supplies for rabies prevent and control.
