Publication Ethics

     1. Duties of Authors
1.1) The author must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere prior to the submission.
1.2) The information obtained from the research must be reported truthfully. Data fabrication, falsification, and manipulation are prohibited.
1.3) The author must accredit other works used in the article and provide a list of references at the end of the article.
1.4) The manuscript must be written in the correct format as provided in Instruction for Authors.
1.5) The authors whose names are stated in the article must be effectively involved in the research.
1.6) The author must disclose all funding sources of the research.
1.7) The author must disclose the conflicts of interest (if any).

     2. Duties of Editors

2.1) The editor is responsible for quality control of each submitted article in order for the article to be published in the journal.
2.2) During the process of article evaluation, the editor must protect the confidentiality of the authors and the other members of the editorial board. Related information must not be disclosed to unauthorised persons.
2.3) The editor is responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles should be published after the evaluation process, considering the significance, novelty, clarity, and relevance of the article’s content to the journal policies.
2.4) The editor must not publish the articles which are published elsewhere prior to the submission.
2.5) The editor must not reject the publication of an article solely due to the skepticism towards the article’s content. It is obligatory that the editor investigate and prove all concerns before deciding to accept or dismiss an article.
2.6) The editor must hold no conflicts of interest with the authors, the reviewers, and the executive board.
2.7) The editor must strictly inspect for plagiarism, using reliable software.
2.8) In case plagiarism is detected, the editor must withhold the article evaluation process and ask for clarification from the authors. The received explanations will further impinge upon the decision to publish or reject the article.

     3. Duties of Reviewers

3.1) During the process of article evaluation, the reviewer must protect the confidentiality of the related personnel. Disclosing partial or full information of the article to unauthorised persons is prohibited.
3.2) If the reviewer is aware that there may be potential conflicts of interest regarding the articles received from the editors (e.g. The reviewer is one of the research participants., The author is an acquaintance of the reviewer., There are certain reasons resulting in the reviewer’s inability to criticise freely.), the reviewer should notify the editors and repudiate the involvement in the article evaluation.
3.3) The reviewers must evaluate the articles in their specialised field based on the significance of contents towards the field, quality of analysis, and depth of the work; and must abstain from judging the articles with personal opinions that could not be justified with evidence.
3.4) The reviewers must mention any significant works which comply with the article being reviewed but are not referred to in the article. In addition, the editor must report any similarities and resemblances to other works in any part of the article to the editors.
