The transfer of community health promotion hospitals from the Ministry of Public Health to local administrative organizations, under the Ministry of Interior has some impacts on health workers especially nurse practitioners. This descriptive research aims to study the perceptions and expectations regarding organizational management from nurse practitioners in primary healthcare units transferred to local administrative organizations. The study involved 70 nurse practitioners working in those units. The research tools were questionnaire obtained; 1) general information, and 2) perception and expectation about organizational management of transferred primary healthcare units. Questionnaires about perception and expectation obtained the congruence index (IOC) .94, respectively. Reliability was measured using Cronbach’s alpha, yielding a value of .92. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics. The research findings indicated that the overall perception of nurse practitioners towards organizational management was at a high level (=3.45, SD=1.11), while the overall expectations of nurse practitioners towards organizational management were also at a high level (=3.72, SD=1.12). Therefore, local administrative organizations and agencies involved in organizational transfer should address the perceptions and expectations of nurse practitioners. This included establishing obvious policies associated with structures and roles of nurse practitioners according to nurse professional laws, as well as providing tangible support for professional advancement.
