The number of older people international level including in Thailand increased rapidly. Older people have many health problems and bodily functions decline. This led to the number of dependent older people increasing. This correlation study design aimed to 1) identify the level of quality of life among dependent older people and 2) study factors associated with quality of life among dependent older people. Simple random sampling was used to recruit 265 dependent older people in Muang Chiang Rai district. The data collection instruments consisted of a general information survey, WHOQOL-OLD scale (Thai version), and activities of daily living scale. The reliability of both scales has been confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of .82 and .85 respectively. Descriptive statistics namely number, percent, mean, and standard deviation were applied to analyze data. Fisher’s exact and Pearson’s product moment correlation were also used to analyze data. Results of the study showed that dependent older people had quality of life at an average level (69.81%) and a good level (29.06 %). Education (=42.345, p<.05), living habitat (=17.553, p<.05), and basic daily life activities factors were positively associated with the quality of life of dependent older people (r=.137, p=.05). While, income was negatively related to the quality of life (r=-.191, p=.05). Professional nurses and personnel who are responsible to provide care for dependent older people can use the results of the study to enhance the quality of life among these older people.
