The current era of legal changes to cannabis is considered a shift from a category 5 drugs to a controlled herb. This transformation of this herb leads to increased accessibility for individuals and increased encounters with adverse effects from overconsumption of cannabis, resulting in negative health impacts. Therefore, enhancing health literacy on cannabis is a crucial strategy for individuals in the present, because health literacy can support individuals in developing comprehensive skills across all dimensions of health. Consequently, healthcare providers should focus more consideration on the health impacts and conduct overall evaluations to encourage appropriate cannabis consumption behaviors among individuals. The purpose of this article is to present the guidelines for improved cannabis health literacy for both individuals and health personnel, addressing preventing cannabis issues and their impact on cannabis use.
