รูปแบบบริการทันตกรรมกับการเข้าถึงบริการและภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากผู้สูงอายุ: พื้นที่ศึกษาแห่งหนึ่ง จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์

บทคัดย่อ
พื้นที่ศึกษาแห่งหนึ่งของจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ สภาพพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่เป็นภูเขาสูง การเดินทางไม่สะดวก การให้บริการทางทันตกรรมแก่ผู้สูงอายุจึงได้มีการจัดบริการทางทันตกรรมที่แตกต่างกันตามความเหมาะสมของแต่ละพื้นที่ วัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้เพื่อเปรียบเทียบรูปแบบของบริการทางทันตกรรมกับสุขภาพช่องปากของผู้สูงอายุที่อาศัยอยู่ในเขตพื้นที่ศึกษาจังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ โดยการวิจัยนี้ออกแบบเป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยแบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างตามพื้นที่และรูปแบบของบริการออกเป็น 4 รูปแบบ 1. พื้นที่ที่มีทันตาภิบาลประจำ รพ. สต. และมีการออกหน่วยให้บริการโดยทันตแพทย์ 2. พื้นที่ที่มีทันตาภิบาลประจำ รพ. สต. 3. พื้นที่ที่ไม่มีทันตาภิบาลประจำ รพ. สต. แต่อยู่ในเขตการให้บริการของทางโรงพยาบาล 4. พื้นที่ที่ไม่มีทันตาภิบาลประจำ รพ. สต. และอยู่นอกเขตการให้บริการของทางโรงพยาบาล ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้านการเข้าถึงบริการและสุขภาพช่องปากโดยการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้การเปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยระหว่างกลุ่มประชากรในแต่ละรูปแบบ ผลการศึกษาพบว่ารูปแบบของบริการทางทันตกรรมที่มีความแตกต่างกัน จะส่งผลต่อสุขภาพช่องปากของผู้สูงอายุโดยกลุ่มที่มีบริการทางทันตกรรมในพื้นที่โดยทันตแพทย์ (รูปแบบ ที่ 1 และ ที่ 3) เป็นกลุ่มที่มีสุขภาพช่องปากดีกว่ารูปแบบที่ไม่มีบริการทันตกรรมในพื้นที่โดยทันตแพทย์ (รูปแบบที่ 2 และ ที่ 4) การเพิ่มการบริการทางทันตกรรมในพื้นที่โดยทันตแพทย์จะช่วยเพิ่มการเข้าถึงบริการและประสิทธิภาพของงานบริการทางทันตกรรมได้
