The Situation of Antibiotics Smart Use of Fresh Traumatic Wounds at Public Hospital in Krabi Province

Abstract

          This Retrospective research aimed to study the reasonability of antibiotics in Fresh Traumatic Wound (FTW) at 7 public hospitals in Krabi Province. The eligible patients received antibiotics from Oct 1st, 2017 - June 30th, 2018. Subjects with uncompleted history records or presented at the hospitals over 6 hours after recidents ware excluded from this study. The data were analysed with descriptive statistics.
          The prevalence of patients received antibiotics were 6,530 person, were defined as 3,802 (58.22%) in FTW. There were 879 patients (23.12%) in clean-contaminate wound who were not reasonable to receive antibiotics and 2,923 patients (76.88%) who should be given antibiotics. The co-resenchors from each hospital were reported their own results for adjusting their understanding of FTW cares, patient information entry, accurate ICD10 data entry and preparetion of FTW guidelines.
