ความต้องการพัฒนาความสามารถของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขในการเยี่ยมบ้านผู้เป็นเบาหวานในชุมชน The need to improve of Health Volunteer’s ability in Home Visit for Diabetes People in Communities

Abstract

การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการพัฒนาความสามารถของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข (อสส.) ในการเยี่ยมบ้านผู้เป็นเบาหวาน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสนทนากลุ่ม ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก คือ อสส. จำนวน 30 คน โดยใช้เครื่องมือแนวคำถามความต้องการในการพัฒนาศักยภาพของ อสส. การสังเกต และบันทึกภาคสนาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหาผลการวิจัย : พบว่า อสส.ขาดความรู้ และไม่มั่นใจในการเยี่ยมบ้านผู้เป็นเบาหวาน อสส. ต้องการพัฒนาศักยภาพและความสามารถอย่างต่อเนื่องในการให้ความรู้เรื่องยาเบาหวาน การฉีดยาอินซูลิน การเจาะน้ำตาลปลายนิ้ว การออกกำลังกายการพักผ่อน การควบคุมอาหาร การใช้สมุนไพร อสส.มีความต้องการ และเสนอแนะรูปแบบการพัฒนาศักยภาพ คือการจัดอบรมแก่ อสส.อย่างต่อเนื่อง จัดประชุม อสส.จากหลาย ๆ ชุมชนเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ การจัดให้มีอุปกรณ์สำหรับการดูแลผู้เป็นเบาหวานที่บ้าน มีการสอนและทบทวนความรู้และการใช้อยู่เสมอ ข้อเสนอแนะ : อสส.ต้องการพัฒนาความสามารถตนเองเป็นระยะๆ พยาบาลและศูนย์บริการสาธารณสุขควรมีการสอนและทบทวนความรู้อยู่เสมอ และสนับสนุนบทบาท อสส. สร้างเครือข่าย อสส. ช่วยขยายบทบาท อสส.ให้มีความหลากหลายและกว้างขวางขึ้นและสนับสนุนอุปกรณ์ในการเยี่ยมบ้านให้ความรู้และการดูแลผู้เป็นเบาหวานที่บ้าน

Objective: To study the need to improve of health volunteer’s ability in home visit for Diabetes People in Communities Methodology: This research employed qualitative research method. Samples included 30 health volunteers. The focus group with health volunteers was conducted in 3 groups of 10 volunteers. The instruments in this research were Semi-structured question observation and Field note for focus group. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The results: Health volunteers lacked of diabetes knowledge and had unconfident in diabetes home visiting. Health volunteers needed the continuing improvement in diabetes knowledge in diabetes medication, injection, exercise, recreation, diet control, and herb. The type of the ability improvement are continuing training, health volunteer meeting for experience sharing, and well equipment providing for taking care the diabetes patient at home. Conclusion: Health volunteers needed the continuing improvement in diabetes knowledge. Nurses should provide well equipment and support other health volunteer role, build health volunteer network and expand health volunteer role in diverse and expanse role.
