Abstract

โรคข้อเสื่อม เป็นภาระโรคที่สำคัญที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับจำนวนผู้สูงอายุที่เพิ่มขึ้นทำให้พบอัตราอุบัติการณ์โรคเรื้อรังของระบบกระดูกและกล้ามเนื้อเพิ่มขึ้นด้วยปัญหาดังกล่าวเป็นประเด็นสำคัญระดับโลกรวมทั้งประเทศไทยเนื่องจากนำไปสู่ความพิการและการเป็นภาระพึ่งพิง คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วย รวมทั้งภาระค่าใช้จ่ายในการรักษาพยาบาลการตรวจคัดกรองเพื่อการวินิจฉัยโรคเบื้องต้นและประเมินความเสี่ยง เป็นมาตรการการป้องกันโรคระดับทุติยภูมิที่มีประโยชน์อย่างยิ่งสำหรับผู้ป่วยที่ยังไม่แสดงอาการผิดปกติที่ชัดเจน พยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติเป็นผู้มีบทบาทหลักในการตรวจคัดกรองเพื่อจำแนกกลุ่มตามระดับความรุนแรงอันจะนำไปสู่การจัดบริการสุขภาพที่เหมาะสมสำหรับผู้ป่วยแต่ละกลุ่มต่อไปบทความวิชาการนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทบทวนความรู้ที่ทันสมัยเกี่ยวกับนิยาม อุบัติการณ์ ความชุก ปัจจัยเสี่ยง รวมทั้งการตรวจประเมินความเสี่ยงและความรุนแรงของโรคข้อเข่าเสื่อมตามขอบเขตการปฏิบัติของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติในระบบบริการ

Osteoarthritis is the signifiant burden disease in relation to the increasing of elderly and the incidence rate of chronic musculoskeletal diseases. It has been a highlighted public health issues worldwide, as well as in Thailand, because of its impact to deformity, dependency, quality of life of the patients, and also expensiveness of healthcare services. Screening is a strategy of secondary prevention providing for people who was unrecognized disease or illness. Nurse practitioners take the major role of screening among people in the community for identifiation of risk group in order to have appropriate health care delivery system. This article aimed to update review of knee osteoarthritis about defiition term, incidence and prevalence, risk factors, risk assessment and diagnostic criteria. It relevance to scope of practice of nurse
practitioners in primary health care service system in Thailand.
