ภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลง : สิ่งที่ท้าทายผู้นำทางการพยาบาล Transformational Leadership: The Challenging of the Nurse Leaders

Abstract

การศึกษาภาวะผู้นำในช่วงที่ผ่านมามีหลายทฤษฎีที่ถูกกล่าวถึง ซึ่งแต่ละทฤษฎีก็มีข้อดีและข้อเสียแตกต่างกัน ทำให้ผู้นำไม่สามารถใช้ภาวะผู้นำเพียงอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งได้ในทุกสถานการณ์ ขึ้นอยู่กับปัจจัยหลายประการ อาทิ เหตุการณ์ในขณะนั้นวุฒิภาวะของผู้ตาม หรือแม้แต่บุคลิกของตัวผู้นำเอง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในปัจจุบันนี้ความเปลี่ยนแปลงต่าง ๆ เกิดขึ้นอย่างมากมายและรวดเร็วทั้งในระดับบุคคล องค์กร ประเทศชาติ และในโลก ทำให้ผู้นำต้องตระหนักและยอมรับเพื่อจัดการกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงนั้นให้ได้ทันเวลาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ซึ่งภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นภาวะผู้นำที่ได้รับการยอมรับว่ามีองค์ประกอบที่เหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นในหลายมิติดังกล่าว โดยเฉพาะวิชาชีพพยาบาลเป็นงานบริการที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากภาวะการเปลี่ยนแปลงหลายด้าน อีกทั้งผู้นำทางการพยาบาลส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นเพศหญิง ซึ่งเป็นเพศที่มีการใช้ภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากกว่าเพศชาย ผู้เขียนจึงขอกล่าวถึงงานของผู้นำทางการพยาบาลที่สอดคล้องกับองค์ประกอบของภาวะผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลง 4 ด้าน คือ ด้านการมีอิทธิพลอย่างมีอุดมการณ์ ด้านการสร้างแรงบันดาลใจ ด้านการกระตุ้นทางปัญญา และด้านการคำนึงถึงความเป็นปัจเจก

There are several leadership theories mentioning leaderships in variety aspects. Each of them has both advantages and disadvantages. Leaders could not use single leadership theory to lead the organization. It depends on situations, maturity of the followers and the personality of the leaders themselves as well. Nowsaday, there are changings in people, organization, nation and the world. Leaders have to emphasis and accept the changings to dealand then do effective work with them immediately. Since Transformational Leadership has been described as the leadership for the leaders in the changing era and also several studies have shown that women tend to be somewhat more transformational than male which the most of the nursing leaders are female. This article proposes tasks of the nursing leadersfor each component of Transformational Leadership: Idealized Inflence orCharisma Leadership, Inspiration Motivation, Intellectual
Stimulation andIndividualized Consideration.
