Analysis of the Project to Enhance Research Publication Efficiency after International Academic Presentation: A Pilot Study

Abstract

 Presenting academic work abroad is an important opportunity to disseminate knowledge and build academic networks. The Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, provides scholarships to support staff in presenting academic International Presentation. According to the regulations must publish their work within one year after returning from the presentation. This publication is considered the completion of the scholarship requirement. If staff wish to present in next year, they must have published their previous work or received an acceptance letter before they can receive the next scholarship.
This project aims to monitor the effectiveness of program to increase research publication after international academic presentations from 3 fiscal year between October 2022-September 2025. The result was shown that the successfully submitted within 6 months were 28.57%, 20%, and 71.43%, respectively. The research was submissions within one fiscal year at 85.71%, 80%, and 42.85%, respectively. The satisfaction scores were 94.28%, 96% and 95%, respectively. The main factors contributing to delays the manuscript submissions were uncertainty with quality of the research, the duration of journal review process, inadequate planning time, heavy workload, insufficient academic writing skills. And the manuscript was rejected by journals. To address these obstacles, the Critical Care Nursing section would collaborate with experts for facilitate and support in the future publication.
