Factors Related with Nursing Care for Stroke Fast Track of Nurses in Nong Phai Hospital, Phetchabun Province

Abstract

 This descriptive study aimed to study the factors related to nursing care for stroke fast track of nurses in Nong Phai Hospital, Phetchabun Province. The sample group is 88 professional nurses. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics, which included Pearson Correlation Coefficient at .01 levels of significance.
The research results revealed that perception of stroke fast track was shown at the high level (Mean = 4.22, SD = .55), accessibility of stroke fast track was shown at the moderate level (Mean = 3.61, SD = .72), perception of information and social support of stroke fast track was shown at the moderate level (Mean = 3.62, SD = .77), and nursing care of stroke fast track was shown at the moderate level (Mean = 3.62, SD = .55). Perception, accessibility and perception of information and social support were positively related to stroke fast track at the high level of .01 (r = .563, .544, .571, respectively). Including 3 factors: perception, accessibility, and perception of information and social support were positively related to stroke fast track at the high level of .01. (r = .699).
Findings of the study provide a baseline data to promote workforce development planning to nursing care for effective and efficient care of acute stroke patients.
