Midwifery Practicum in a Model of Distance Education with Blended Learning

The applied research aim to 1) develop a model of blended learning of distance education in midwifery practicuum and 2) evaluate the feasibility of a model of blended learning of distance education in midwifery practicuum. The key informants include experts, nursing instructors, nurse and nursing students. The research tools consist of 1) in-depth individual interview questions, 2) focus group discussion questions, and 3) a feasibility assessment form a model of midwifery practicum in Distance education system. The consistency of the tools were Index of item objective congruence between 0.67-1.00. Data were analyzed by content analysis and descriptive statistics. The results of the research found that: 1) a model of blended learning of distance education in midwifery practicuum, combining online and on-site learning, there are 3 steps for the nursing practice process: (1) preparation, (2) implementation, which includes the following nursing practice characteristics: (2.1) training to enhance nursing practice skills for the subject set (2.2) training to enhance nursing practice skills in specific cases and (2.3) intensive training to enhance nursing practice skills, and (3) evaluation. and 2) The study on the feasibility of a model of blended learning of distance education in midwifery practicuum was found that a model of blended learning of distance education in midwifery practicuum is a possibility of it being at the highest overall.
