This research is research and development aimed at developing and evaluating knowledge transfer activities and skills in using innovations for promoting cognitive health among the elderly, with the participation of community leaders in transferring knowledge to caregivers of the elderly. The research is divided into two phases: Phase 1 involves the development of knowledge transfer methods through focus group discussions with community leaders, and Phase 2 involve the research process and procedures, including action planning in collaboration with community innovators. The tools used for data collection were 1) knowledge transfer activities and innovation skill training 2) a knowledge and skills assessment form. 3) a community innovator knowledge transfer skills assessment form. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviations, and paired t-tests.
The findings revealed that 1) The development of knowledge transfer activities consisted of three activities: knowledge dissemination, training sessions, and practical skills training. 2) After participating in knowledge transfer and skills training activities, the sample group demonstrated a significantly higher mean score in knowledge, skills and the ability to transfer knowledge related to the use of innovation compared to their score before the activities, with statistical significance (p<.05). Therefore, developing knowledge transfer activities with participation from people in the community should start from identifying the issues. The design of the activities will lead to continuity, sustainability, and unity within the community.
