A Study of Nursing Service Management for Patients with Coronavirus 2019 at Hospitels

This descriptive study explored the nursing service management for patients with Coronavirus 2019 at hospitels. The participants were 20 experts with knowledge and experience in the nursing service management for patients with Coronavirus 2019 at hospitels consisting of five nursing directors, five nurse managers, five infection control nurses (ICN), and five nursing team leaders. The sample groups selected by purposive sampling and snowball technique. The research process consisted of three rounds by the Delphi technique. Round 1, Interviewing using a semi-structured questionnaire. Round 2, Collecting expert opinions for content analysis and formulate questions for a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Round 3, Use expert opinions to calculate the median and interquartile range (IR) and formulate questions for a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire to summarize the research results.
The results showed that the nursing service provision for patients with Coronavirus 2019 at hospitels consisted of 7 aspects as follows: 1) Service planning 2) Structure organizing 3) Staffing 4) Supervising 5) Communicating and Coordinating 6) Reporting and 7) Budgeting. The results of this research provide basic information for nursing administrators to apply the research results as a guideline for the nursing service provision for patients with Coronavirus 2019 at hospitels when there is an emerging respiratory disease outbreak in the future.
