Abstract

This predictive correlational research aimed to study the factors predicting delayed progression of CKD behavior among patients with chronic kidney disease stage G1-G2. The samples consisted of 126 CKD patients with stage G1-G2. Data were collected from November to December,2020. The research instrument was composed of the recording form of personal information, the social support, the health literacy, the health belief and a questionnaire of delayed progression of CKD behavior. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic and multiple regression analysis method.

The research results revealed that CKD patients with stage G1-G2. social support, health literacy and health belief can predict delayed progression of CKD behavior among patients with chronic kidney disease stage G1-G2 were statistically significant accounted for 18.3% (β = .141, .259, .203, p < .05, respectively). The most significant predicting factor is health literacy, followed by health belief, but income cannot predict delayed progression of CKD behavior (β = .042, p.859). The result of this study could be used as guideline to develop the delayed progression of CKD behavior promoting program for CKD patients with stage G1-G2.
